The Cafe Lifestyle

Curry Leaf Cafe is an award-winning, independent Brighton restaurant serving a sharing-style menu of South Indian street food, curries & tandoor-grilled meats plus a range of craft beers from local breweries. A wide selection of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are available throughout the day, including a range of great-value lunch specials designed to fill the belly and warm the heart – all served in a colourful, laid-back dining space decked out with wooden tables, exposed brick walls and vintage Indian design touches.

We’re proud to be consistently named as one of the best Indian restaurants in the UK, and have been listed as a ‘Local Gem’ in every edition of The Good Food Guide since 2015. Our dishes are made with locally sourced meat and vegetables, and our organic wines, beers and takeaway packaging are sourced from Sussex suppliers to ensure that as every penny you spend with us – or as close to it as possible – stays within the local economy. Minimising waste has also been a core part of what we do since opening ten years ago, with our waste food and packaging recycled to minimise our impact on the environment.

Bring your laptop and linger over a warming cup of masala chai. Treat your family to a nutritious, affordable lunch with a difference (little ones eat for £6.50). Drop by for a few beers and a bowl of pakoras – and maybe end up staying for a three-course dinner on our colourful, sun-lit mezzanine. This is Indian cafe culture, Brighton style.
