We win Asian Curry Award

At the 2015 Asian Curry Awards last night – hosted by ITN newsreader Natasha Kaplinksy at the Hilton Park Lane in Mayfair – Curry Leaf Cafe fought off competition from every Asian restaurant launched on the south coast of England since 2014 to win the Best Newcomer, South Coast trophy.

This year's judging panel included Curry Club chairman Pat Chapman, Michelin-starred owner of the Poons Chinese restaurant chain Bill Poon, food and travel writer Neil Hennessy-Vass, former Good Food Guide restaurant inspector George Shaw, journalist Emily Knight, chef-owner of Minnis Jason Freedman and Asiana TV's Momtaz Begum-Hossain.

Owners Euan Sey & Kanthi Thamma would like to say a special thanks to their customers for nominating them, the entire CLC team for all their hard work since the cafe opened in April 2014, and to everyone at the Asian Curry Awards for putting on such a brilliant evening.
